Domestic Violence
IVRS offers court-approved 52-week Domestic Violence Batterer's Treatment in the Cities of Upland and Pomona. The programs are designed to assist those convicted of domestic violence to stop all violent and threatening behaviors and to be non-abusive and non-threatening in relationships. The primary concern is for the safety of the victim(s). The program addresses skewed belief systems that allow and support the use of violence or threat of violence to establish power and control over an intimate partner; and/or forms of abuse including physical; emotional and sexual abuse; manipulation or domination; stalking or terrorizing ; and circumstances that put the safety of partners, children, pets, other family members and/or friends at risk. Participants are taught techniques to be nonabusive and noncontrolling. Groups are available in English and Spanish.
